Edelweiss Village + Resort

Restoring an alpine legacy
The roots of Edelweiss Village trace back to the early 20th century, originally established in 1911. It was home to the legendary Swiss Guides, renowned mountaineers who shaped the course of alpinism in Western Canada. Their legacy, deeply entwined with the Canadian Pacific Railway's history, laid the foundation for what is now a symbol of cultural and historical significance.

Blending Tradition and Swiss Modernism
Our design agency was honoured to play a pivotal role in revitalizing the brand for Edelweiss Village + Resort, meticulously rebuilt on a historic site steeped in heritage. The challenge? Crafting a brand that seamlessly wove the story of its storied past with the luxury and sophistication of modern hospitality.
We approached this project with deep respect for tradition, drawing inspiration from the architecture, textures, and motifs that had defined the original resort. Our design incorporated these historic elements, reimagined with a contemporary twist, to create a brand that resonates wit new visitors.
The logo and visual identity featured elegant, timeless typography and subtle, intricate patterns reminiscent of the region’s artisanal detailing. This was complemented by a rich, refined colour palette that evoked the natural beauty and cultural legacy of the Swiss landscape.
Each brand touchpoint was designed to bridge past and present, inviting guests into an experience that feels both familiar and refreshingly new. Our approach ensured the brand stood as a testament to the resort’s heritage while positioning it as a premier modern destination.
